Academic Alt

Our Alt is a unique hybrid beer that combines elements of an Altbier with a touch of Kölsch character. The use of BlueOx, Victory, brown, and chocolate malts creates a beer with a nuanced malt profile, showcasing toasty, biscuity, nutty, and subtle roasty flavors. The traditional German hop combination of Hallertauer Mittelfrueh and Hersbrucker contributes a balanced bitterness and a mild, spicy hop character. Kölsch yeast introduces an interesting twist, by adding some fruity esters and a clean fermentation profile, while the malt bill and hopping maintain the Altbier foundation.

Book Report Bitter

We present to you a well-balanced beer with a focus on malt complexity and traditional English hop character. The combination of malts from Blue Ox Malthouse, and Breiss Victory malt create a traditional English Bitter with a rich malt profile, showcasing toasty, caramel, and biscuity notes. East Kent Goldings and Fuggles hops contribute a traditional English bitterness and aroma.

Recess Rye Pale Ale

Recess Rye Pale Ale is a well-balanced and flavorful pale ale with a focus on hop aroma and flavor, using rye to complement the hops with a subtle spiciness. Admissions Autumn Ale

The combination of Blueox Malting Dark Munich and Caramel 60 with some Breiss Victory Malt creates a beer with a solid malt backbone, exhibiting a reddish-brown color. The addition of molasses further enhances the complexity, providing a seasonal and warming character for the fall and winter months. Expect Admissions Autumn Ale to showcase a harmonious interplay between malty sweetness, toasty notes, and a balanced bitterness, all underscored by the distinctive character of molasses.

Discussion Doppelbock

7.7% ABV | 20.1 IBU’s | $7.00

Our Doppelbock, brewed with a variety of malts and traditional German hops is a rich and robust lager with complex malt flavors. Discussion has a deep amber to brown color, showcasing a complex interplay of toasty, caramelized, and biscuity malt flavors. The use of traditional German Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops adds a subtle and complementary bitterness, allowing the malt character to take center stage. The lagering process enhances the beer's clarity, smoothness, and drinkability, resulting in a well-balanced doppelbock that is rich and flavorful yet clean and refreshing. Schoolyard Spruce Ale

5.3% ABV | 48 IBU’s | $7.00

Schoolyard Spruce Ale is a complex and aromatic ale with a balanced malt sweetness. The interplay of toasty and caramel notes plays well with the notable presence of spruce. The combination of BlueOx Pale, Crystal, and Munich malts, matched with the addition of spruce tips creates a beer with multiple layers of flavor. The hop combination of CTZ and Northern Brewer contribute to a moderate to high bitterness, complemented by the resinous and herbal qualities of the spruce tips.

Arey's Maineiac IPA

6.8% ABV | 91 IBU’s | $8.00

Named for Bob’s father and Zach’s grandfather is a New England Style IPA using all Maine Malts and grains. The late addition and dry hop combination of Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, and Bru-1 hops provides a unique and robust blend of fruity, citrusy, and tropical flavors and aromas, creating a well-balanced and flavorful IPA.

Kindergarten Kölsch

5% ABV | 25.2 IBU’s | $7.00

Bryant’s Kölsch is a light, clean, and well-balanced ale with a focus on drinkability. The combination of BlueOx Yankee Pils and Vyenna malts provides a subtle malt sweetness and a crisp base. Hersbrucker and Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops contribute a mild hop bitterness and delicate floral, herbal, and earthy notes. White Labs Kölsch yeast allows the malt and hop characteristics to shine resulting in a pale, clear beer with a moderate body and a refreshing finish.

Whizz Kid Watermelon Ale

5% ABV | 22.7 IBU's | $8.00

Whizz Kid Watermelon Ale is brewed with Blue Ox Pale, Munich, and Vienna Maine malts, giving this crisp golden ale balanced subtle toast and biscuit notes with noble floral hops. Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Hallertau Blanc add herbal spice and fruity brightness, while fresh watermelon purée lends a refreshing, juicy finish perfect for summer sipping.

Baccalaureate Belgian Blonde Ale

6.4% ABV | 28.2 IBU's | $7.00

This well-crafted beer is a unique and flavorful drinking experience. Pale golden in color, it has a slight haze. The aroma features fruity esters and herbal notes from Willamette hops, with a hint of malt sweetness. The flavor profile showcases a well-balanced combination of malt sweetness, fruity esters, and a subtle hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly creamy.

Principal's Office Oatmeal Stout

4.8% ABV, 31 IBU’s | $7.00

Principal's Office Oatmeal Stout is a robust and flavorful stout with a variety of malt characteristics best served on a Nitrogen Tap. Maine malts in combination with British chocolate malt, roasted barley and flaked oats promises a complex interplay of sweet, toasty, roasty, and creamy flavors. Fuggles hops provides a gentle bitterness to balance the malt sweetness. Anticipate a beer with a dark, opaque appearance, a full body, and a well-rounded flavor profile featuring notes of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and a subtle spiciness from rye malt. Flaked oats contribute to a smooth and velvety mouthfeel, making it a satisfying and rich oatmeal stout.
